Who the heck I am . . .
Past and present.
My life’s random sequence of jobs include being an oil and gas landman, actuarial consultant, mother, high school English teacher, lawyer, community leader, entrepreneur, farmer and world travel adventurer, a local friend calls me “the most interesting woman in Bosque County.”
I love sharing my stories to encourage you to follow your dreams outside your comfort zone to see beauty . . . everywhere.

Kayeote Farms
A nearby ghost town was named Cayote (kay-oat) due to the quantity of coyotes here. They remain yipping and howling often around sunset. Living on my grandparents’ farm for over 30 years flows daily peace through our cattle, chickens, dogs, cats and bees. Daytime wildflowers and milkweeds in pastures with nighttime stars in the milky way soothe my heart.

My man and me.
Curtis W. Callaway and I met in jail. Literally. Needing photos for my new luxurious “bed & booze” jail in 2014, I searched for someone’s photography that could fit my style. Curtis’ worldwide artistic photos impressed me curtiswcallaway.com. My weird ideas impressed him. Proof exposed on stayatthecellblock.com.
We fell into friendship in jail, then unexpected love. In 2016, we signed, sealed and delivered ourselves to each other as we married in the Lajitas Mission Chapel.
